Opening and Verifying an Account

Opening an account with a licensed operator is a legal process, not just a form to fill in. Three conditions always apply: the account can be checked, it belongs to an adult, and it carries the controls the licence asks for. The process at Balkan Bet is the same as at every Serbian-licensed operator. Licence 424-01-00219/2022-02 from the Games of Chance Administration is the basis for every step below, not the operator's own wishes.

Step one: the account

A licensed sign-up form in Serbia asks for the usual identifying details and a Serbian mobile number; the password is the only thing you make up. Codes and recovery messages arrive on that number, which is why a number you genuinely control beats a convenient one.

Play starts as soon as the account exists. Withdrawing starts once it is verified. That gap, between play and payout, is the source of most grievances against licensed operators.

Step two: verification

You send a picture of an identity document and, if asked, proof that the account or card is in your name. The check does not scale with the amount, which is the useful thing to know: it costs the same few minutes whether the balance is 500 RSD or a hundred times that. Whoever finishes it at once forgets it ever happened; whoever postpones it waits for the payout.

Three details decide whether the check comes back. A valid document is the first condition. All four corners in the frame, flat and in daylight — that is how to shoot it. And make sure the account, the document and the payment method all carry the same name — a mismatch is the single commonest reason a check comes back, as the withdrawal guide also notes.

The offer with a clock on it

One part of the welcome menu depends on this step rather than on a deposit: the free spins are credited only after registration and verification are both done. They are most often lost by people who put the document photo off until later. The whole offer is described in the welcome bonus guide.

Controls on the account

A deposit limit appears during sign-up because the licence requires it to be offered, and it is the single most useful control on the page. It is also far easier to set when nothing is at stake than to reach for in the middle of a bad week. Next to the limit is self-exclusion; like the limit it can be changed later, but loosening does not apply at once — deliberately.

For the tools themselves rather than the process, see responsible gambling as well.

One account, one name

One person, one account — in your own name, with your own money and at eighteen or older. A duplicate account is closed when it is found, and a balance on it is disputed rather than paid. It most often hits people who open another account for a fresh welcome offer, and only at the payout.

The process is short, and it is front-loaded on purpose. Account first, verification the same day, then a limit — after that comes only the payments hub and nothing else.
